Sorry LBG. I wished we could display the higher quality banner if everyone used fast Internet. There are people who still use slow Internet connection. Many people would think that dial up users should upgrade their Internet connection.

Lil_Buddha_Gal, I've wanted to do something with the search box because the search function is powerful but it gets in the way with the banner. I'll see if I can add the Google search box below the banner instead and then get rid of the current search box. I'm still thinking about it, but exam coming already. Perhaps right now, you don't need to edit the banner to make it work with the current search box. I used the png file for the previous banner and many people from the phpbb developers' forum said the forum loaded slowly with dial up Internet. I had to optimize the file to the current jpg otherwise the loading time on dial up would be approx. more than 2 minutes. We can display the original png banner in a separate forum thread, but for displaying the banner at the top of the forum, the banner needs to be optimized in order for the forum to load faster.
